I revised the core engine so that a SETTLE result requires a tough choice between "avoiding part of the risk and accomplishing part of their action, or taking all of the risk and accomplishing all of their action."
I revised combat so that "When your reaver's melee weapon is larger than their opponent's weapon, the opponent imposes their first risk twice - e.g., if your reaver has a spear, a wolf would cause only a bloody wound the first two times your reaver SUFFERS. A shield counts as the largest melee weapon. Large and fearsome predators are more menacing than any weapon that your reaver could wield."By the way, I love that you can open Scribus files with any text editor and copy, paste, revise the meat of the file. If you understand the file format, you can even edit Scribus layout in Xed.
