I am playtesting the Ziggurat of Mag adventure (included in this zine) with an opposed-rolls version of 24XX.

It runs ok.

But at the same time I am running a game of CRAWLERS, which is a straight-up 24XX game. I also am playing in a game of inner system blues, which is one of the original 2400 settings.

The original version, with just the players rolling, runs smooth and easy. There's no need for GM rolls.

So I'm going back to the roots of the game.

(Please, let's forget the false start with PbtA 2d6 mechanics. I didn't like those as much as I had expected.)
