What it's like to hack Tunnel Goons

It's always exciting for me when I see a set of rules that's been made available for hacking. I immediately question, what can I do with this that I've been waiting for just the right mechanics?

For example, I have been kicking Ancient Egypt around in my head for a couple of years, trying to come up with something interesting. I tried Barbarians of Lemuria but that didn't really do what I wanted. I considered Tiny D6 but couldn't really think of Traits unique to Ancient Egypt.

For some reason, Tunnel Goons really clicked with me for this setting.

So here's a fast, smooth hack of a very light set of rules to add a little setting flavor.

And ... what was it like to hack?

Like adjusting the brakes on a bike. A little twiddle here, a little there, it's done! Easy-peasy.
