Designing Crawlers


Cybermagepunk is a tough space to make an indie splash, particularly when facing originals like inner system blues. Also, although I like the Shadowrun setting, I wanted to do something ... different.

So - revolutionaries, people trying not just to scrape out a living with illicit jobs, but actually to accomplish (intentionally non-violent) missions to alter the social order.

Note "intentionally." It's the meta-intent of the game to throw up roadblocks that might be resolved by violence, as can be seen by the selection of character skills thought significant. But, as in many Old School and New School games, violence is not so much the point as problem solving. That can be seen in the selection of missions that might find the characters.
